First Stage @ NextDoor

Join us on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 4-8PM as NextDoor hosts "First Stage @ NextDoor," an evening of fun and fashion to benefit First Stage Children's Theater. Furthermore, beginning September 9, two weeks prior to the event, NextDoor shoppers will have the opportunity to participate in a one-of-a-kind silent auction in the store with donated items from local businesses and NextDoor. All proceeds from the auction will benefit First Stage.

NextDoor will also host a back to school sale during the silent auction and you can receive a great discount on a 2010-2011 First Stage subscription package. This is a perfect mother-daughter event and a fun girl's night out--so grab your girlfriends and daughters and head over to NextDoor to support First Stage Children's Theater!

 Elmbrook Humane Society Wagfest September 11th

Wagfest is an annual event held by the Elmbrook Humane Society to raise funds to ensure that all healthy and adoptable animals can be cared for until they are adopted. This year their goal is to raise $15,000. NextDoor has donated a $100 gift card for the silent auction to be held at Wagfest on September 11, 2010. The event lasts from 11:00AM to 6:00 PM at Mitchell Park in Brookfield next to the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts. So come on down with your pooch and look for our table and gift card to benefit the Elmbrook Humane Society!

Sarah's Stride

On Saturday, June 19, 2010 attend a 5K Run/2-Mile Walk presented by the Strong Foundation to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, a member of Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, Inc. The Race starts at 3PM, and the Children's Race starts at 2PM from Hart Park in Wauwatosa. It is a HartFest event.

Autism Society Annual Golf Classic
On Friday, June 4, 2010 the Autism Society's Annual Golf Classic kicks off at 12:00pm with a shotgun start at the Silver Spring Golf and Banquet Center in Menomonee Falls.
 
The proceeds from the event help fund their  summer program, Lose the Training Wheels, and benefits all special-needs children in Southeastern Wisconsin. Nextdoor's neighbor Ellen Takerian from Golf Outlet in the Sendik's Towne Centre will be there overseeing many of the event's activities including the silent auction.

Midwest Lyme Foundation

On Saturday, May 22, 2010 the Midwest Lyme Foundation held their first Ride Against Lyme bike ride. The Midwest Lyme Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community awareness, information, and physician training for the treatment and management of Lyme disease.

The Ride Against Lyme was held at Attitude Sports & Pilates on Pewaukee Lake. Nextdoor contributed an item to the silent auction from which profits went to benefit the event and Foundation. Over 400 people attended the event.

First Stage Children's Theater

On Saturday, May 15, 2010 First Stage Children's Theater held an Australian Wine Dinner at Tripoli Country Club. First Stage serves kids from all over southeast Wisconsin focusing on education and personal development for the youth involved.

Nextdoor donated a silent auction item to benefit First Stage's outstanding productions, Theater Academy programming, and in-school education programs.
